The price of gas at 146 a barrel has made the cost of driving to Wall Mart cost prohibitive. The discount prices of products at Wall Mart are lost because the cost of getting to and from the mall are eaten up by the high cost of gas. Main Street in any town in the US still sells those products and it won't cost you anything to go there. Support your local vendor. Go to the butcher, lighting store, clothing store in town to get your products and or services. If your vendor does not have what you want, tell him/her and they will order it for you just the way you like, and it will be here in a couple of days and they will call you. You can walk to get it. All of the Main Streets in the US are already built right. Streets, sewers, curbs etc.... No major upgrades are needed. Support your local vendor and all will win. Hurray for Main Street. Be a part of it.

Summertime USA, shorts and a t-shirt, nowhere to hide the wads of cash form drug sales stateside on the street. An old trick for gang bangers, stopped by the Police they can see nothing. Any kind of shoe, the dope dealers remove the insert padded soul liner and lay the cash flat in the shoe, then replace the liner and walk away. And yes they also walk in and out of jail and US court houses with the cash and the dope. I will tax the dope dealers at 1700 %. All of them. You get arrested for dope, you pay taxes on the estimated value of distributing dope. Plus, there will be an automatic IRS notification of your prior years of non filing your taxes, and penalty thereof. Tax free dope dealers? I don't think so. Time to take US Streets back.

US oil will be $16 a barrel. US food will be cheap again.

Who does not remember the savings and loan bail out of the 80's. Steal the money and let the tax payers pay for it. Who does not remember the financial scandals at Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac in more recent history, no harm, no foul and now let the taxpayers pay again for the stolen money. Put these guys in jail, and make them give back all of the money. This ROUTINE of stolen monies not being recovered is the problem. I mean take it all. Put them in jail, take their pensions, their house, all assets everything, fine them and recoup the stolen monies. If they do not pay back the stolen monies. leave them in jail to rot. This ROUTINE of a person stealing 15 million dollars and telling the judge he/she does not care, they will do the ten years and have their 15 million when they get out in ten years is nothing more than complacency of fact, that breeds repeat. To end it the penalties must be increased to finality.

When oil prices fall from 147 to 130,  we want the immediate translation of the lowering of price as sure as we get the daily increase. If we are to live in the free market economy with rapid inflation at 26% we want our price decrease immediately here in our information technology era. This is not too much to ask from the consumer. Who here or there believes this will happen as fast as prices go up. This, our now world info age, we demand no less than an exact market performance, and the exact equivalent now, should all things be equal, but they are not, big oil.
I would like to indent here but, due to technical issues that is not possible here and now. Please excuse any grammar situations on the Blyg, as the intent is always perfection. Yes I know better.
There is no reason why we should not have our price savings now.
We most certainly deserve it now. So tired of getting ripped off every angry inch.
Why should we wait 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months for price reduction that is artificial against the market price? We want the 13% decrease on everything right now.

I have met a lot of good women over 40 that need a job. Hire them. They have a lot to offer, they are smart, willing and have a lot of dynamics not found with other personal. They really want to learn the new stuff or the new way. Just show them, or send them to school. Do they need training yes. Do I need training yes. Don't we all need training and the update too, for all we have forgotten and need to use, yes. We know the young need jobs. That is okay, but will they stay? These 40+ plus women can work well for US and have a lesser turn over of staffing. They, as we all do, need training, and or on the job experience. Just give it to them. And we will see a big win win for all. No one can do it until you show them how. These are our people.

So get out there and do something nice for your people.

Sing a song, bake a cake, share the cake, go for a swim, teach a kid to swim, walk the dog, get a dog, do the garden, check on a senior citizen, find a nice book, read the book, teach an adult to read, go to the movies, rediscover a park, adopt a park, golf, bird watching, shopping, ice cream of the day = strawberry, see the new exhibit at the museum, a day at the beach, pee wee baseball, play a game of hide and seek, checkers, dodge ball for all ages, jacks and of course marbles.

The great depression of the 1930's. Solution, FDR's New Deal saved the country in the 1940's. Then add 45 years to 1985.

1985 the Savings and Loan debacle. US taxpayer bail out of billions. And nothing has changed, all of the players still alive. 1985 to now = 23 years.

2008. 800 billion taxpayer bail out.

This trend shows the next bail out at 2025. and the next bail out after that at 2032. Then 2034.

Bush signs housing bill. & US bonds despite deficit. & more bail outs of auto industry, another big 3.

        Today, 7-25-08. I would pull out of Iraq and put all US troops into Afghanistan in a major surge and wipe out Al Qaida now. There is no reason to wait.
        So, the new time table is this: All out of Iraq starting today 7-25-08. All into Afghanistan starting today 7-25-08. Then, with period certain, end the Afghanistan war May Day 2010. That's 5-1-2010. I will not allow an open ended time frame for any war.
        After that, no more foreign wars.
        A nation at peace.

Boycotts can be useful, but not in this situation. I have been asked to attend boycotts and black outs of which I have declined. Not that these people or those people are not believers to their causes, no, and not because I disagree with them, no, but because it is disruptive to society in general and it does not achieve what they are fighting for or against in the most positive or beneficial way.

The link below shows how some people show their disgust and or disdain for a lack of being heard and or taken seriously. And though this issue has been heard and addressed before, the desired results have not come fast enough for this and other groups and causes.

This is a state matter. There are many problems with this boycott. First, there will be a lack of money into the school system because of a low head count. That hurts all. Second, kids in schools with a high drop out rate do not need elders to encourage wrongful actions such as non attendance. Third, Federal State and municiple loss of dollars into education for any reason is not sound nor good fiscal policy for any reason. Let US not forget that they can take those monies away in the future or simply not allocate these monies. This matter should be handled another way. He or she with the loudest mouth does not mean that the means justify the end. Call for Chicago students to skip the 1rst day of school.

We will have many new price caps in the leases for US offshore oil drilling long before offshore drilling is approved. This will include but is not limited to, a capped maximum price per barrel of oil at $20 dollars and not to exceed $20 dollars per barrel. This price setting maximum is all important as the low price will flood the world market with cheap oil and We the people will be back on top again. Food will be cheap and our economy will zoom for the progress of the people currently held hostage by big oil. This will end the oil speculators ability to rise a market and it will bring freedom back to US. This will also end the scandal that is ethanol, corn and agricultural products worldwide will return to normal. Who loves you?

Jody Weis of the Chicago Police Department is doing a fine and outstanding job in the short period of time he has been in Chicago. So have all of the other Chicago Police officers. We salute and applaud all of their efforts. Superintendent Weis is building on the meritorious gains and accomplishments of other great Chicago Superintendents Phil Cline and Terry Hillard just to name a few. We support all law enforcement everywhere.
       The new guy has a different style, a different way, nothing wrong with that. He or she cannot be the same as the others, it simply is not possible. This good Superintendent needs the time to be great. All we have to do is let him be. Results are already seen everywhere for the better. Praises are in order to Mayor Daley for his selection. You will see great things from this new Superintendent Weis. He has our full support.

Drilling for oil offshore in LA. & TX is ok and may be preferred over Florida, however, making this a state issue is all wrong. This will be a federal issue. As clearly this is not limited to the few, the US masses are at stake. No one state should ever be allowed a solo victory or preponderance of importance to the country in this case US oil. This must be federal as it is of national importance. The needs of the many out way the few.
            "This country can not be held hostage by any one state for any reason" including oil.
This is all federal. If the fed decides to give this authority to the states, all is lost and the monopoly, that is big oil, continues to grow. No one and I mean no one, can afford this for the American people. This must be federal. For at the very least things change, and any and all changes must be regulated by the fed and not relegated to and by any one state.

And let me tell you something. Screw OPEC. They have been doing US wrong since the beginning.

I will not allow an open ended time period for the Afghanistan war. There will be period certain. So, the time frame is this; May day, 2010. 15 months after being sworn in, total withdrawal form Iraq. US troop surge starting May day 2010 into Afghanistan for 3 years. End the Afghanistan war May day 2013 total withdrawal. After that no more US wars abroad. A nation at peace.

The US DOT Department of Transportation who gives the states monies for highway, bridges and transportation needs will be giving less to each state. The amount of monies given to a state as a need is based on the volume or # of motorists on the roads. As you well know, because of the high cost of gas, volume of drivers is down, and so to will the amount of monies from the Fed to states for road and bridge projects. These non allocated monies will go to pork and other notorious places not a part of your state government. Everybody looses, states, municipalities and townships. Loss of jobs and economic repercussions to ripple. This is not a good thing during a recession. See prior Blygs for solutions.
