Open computer learning. I will greatly enhance this program nationally. I will expand and fund this program for teens and adults too. But not just this program, my new enhanced program will include and not limit anyone from computer literacy. I will fund and greatly expand computer literacy at all public schools for all ages, young middle and senior. Public schools are open to all and not just certain age groups. These schools are well located to serve all the public. So here is the program we will fund; Microsoft Office. This will include free classes on all of the office programs; word, excell, access etc... and including adobe Illustator and or CS3. These classes will be broken out into various age groups of our peers for easier learnig and heightened networking after class. Imagine the beauty of this. Drop off your kid at school and re-tool or re-school yourself for the job market while you wait. This way a good parent can get and have the skills they need to enter the job market and or start a business when the kids have grown up.
Faith based groups will also recieve funding for my new computer literacy program heretofore called Computer Literacy is fun for all. This is important because in many places the church is more centrally located or better accessed by the public and because of a willingness to learn and grow atmosphere. Some of the better run houses of worship currently send one bright member of the congregation to an advanced computer education school and then that member 'now teacher' teaches everyone in the congregation how to do computers. We can assist and excellerate these programs by funding for teachers pay and computer harware for all. Then we watch them bloom and grow. This is so exciting and a big win win for all communities. Lets do it now.
Computer Statistics: Please note this data can be updated to the new change in use of computers nationally at any time.
Only 1/3 Americans have the internet.
Of that group here is the break out. Ages 0-20, 95% use computers. Ages 20 to 35, 70 % use computers. Ages 36 to 50, 40% use computers. Ages 50 to 70, only 7%. and age 70+ = zero.
As you can see there is a great need for Computer Literacy for All.
